Eleanor Buchan makes work that investigates our relationship to ritual and leans heavily on oral mythic traditions and song.
Trained at Ecole Philippe Gaulier at the Royal School of Speech & Drama, she is Co-Artistic Director of The Shadow Travellers, a storytelling company that explores the collective unconscious through improvised story-weaving and performs across Europe. She is an Associate Artist of Eden's Cave and of The Heroine Project Presents... She collaborates with performative pop-up restaurant company Art For Eating, as well with site-specific theatre company Dante or Die and the award-winning 1927. She is an associate of the Authentic Artist Collective and an Associate Lecturer in Contemporary British Theatre at Ithaca College, London.
The Shadow Travellers are Storytellers in Residence at the Waldorf Steiner School in London and Eleanor leads workshops in the power of collective dreaming through storytelling around the UK and abroad.
